IPESG organizes its work around a limited number of thematic assessment domains. These domains focus on specific and timely research questions of high policy relevance. Initial domains under consideration include plurilateral governance arrangements, the role of international organizations, just transitions, governance of earth system risks, planetary-scale technologies, public participation in earth system governance and governance through global goals, such as the SDGs. Each assessment domain will be presented as a dedicated chapter in the Assessment Report.
